These cannot be used for decompression of a pneumothorax Needle length in description includes the portion inside of plastic body - actual length is much shorter. 3I bought this with the intention to add them to ... I bought this with the intention to add them to my trauma kit. But I have no idea on how to use them. I will not be putting these into my trauma kit until I get some training. As an experienced RN who knows what to look for, this item was not sterile, the needle was flimsy and bendable, and the needle had an oily film on it. Any of these issues could cause a serious blood infection that could be life threatening. Do not buy!!
