Customer Reviews

Waste of moneyNot a fan of the use when you apply a little bit of pressure they stop vibrating not as good as the regular brush heads that I bought before. The only reason I decided to give these a try was because of the price needless to say I will not be buying them again. When I first got him I thought that they were just affective heads so I had Amazon send me new ones and I return the ones I originally got the same problem so it s a design flaw don t waste your money spend a few extra dollars and get the diamond care heads. When I first got him I thought that they were just defective heads so I had Amazon send me new ones and I returned the ones I originally got the same problem so it s a design flaw don t waste your money spend a few extra dollars and get the diamond care heads2Something is wrong with these bristles.Less than a month and the bristles are falling out. As mentioned by another reviewer who had the same problem. Going to put on the second head I received. I'm purchasing these on Subscribe and Save...I'm going to cancel my order if it happens to the second head I ordered. Love the Sonicare system and thought it was a great idea to get these every 6 months without thinking about it on Subscribe and Save. Not worth it if I have to trash it after a month!2Great cleaning brush These are working well so far. They seem to get in between the teeth a little better and they are bigger than the diamondclean brushes. They are just a little too big width wise. They go past the size of the tooth. Also I like the older style brush protector that slipped on. This clip on style isn't as sturdy. 4Quality issue with Philips Sonicare Brush HeadBrought 2 pack of 2 x Philips Sonicare HX909042/94 Brush Head from Amazon.com. Used 2 brush to date, a few of those bristles came off within a month from both the brushes. This shouldn't happen from orignal Philips product.1Bristles FALL OUT After 1-3 weeksAfter 1-3 weeks brush bristles begin falling out in small parts and large sections. This has happened with 5 brush heads already. I have contacted Sonicare who adamantly claims that the brush heads are not defective, however "We are dedicated to improving your experience. Before applying any toothpaste directly to the brush head, please make sure to check the ingredients to see whether your toothpaste contains any essential oils such as coconut oil, peppermint oil, or clove oil. These oils can damage your brush heads and cause bristles to fall out ."I have been using Sonicare electric toothbrushes with the same exact toothpaste since 2003. I have never had this problem. Not only is Sonicare not owning up to creating a faulty toothbrush/brusheads, they are trying to put the blame on the consumer. They offered me ONE replacement to compensate me for my trouble "as a good will gesture" (note: I purchased the toothbrush new to use these heads, and 2 additional packs of replacement heads, that s at least 6 brush heads plus a new toothbrush - at around $300)"Philips values your business and to show our appreciation, I d like to send you a new one-pack Sonicare diamondclean Standard sonic brush heads as a one-time courtesy. I will also include in the box a prepaid return label to send back your original defect brush head(s). It is important that you return the original defect brush head(s) so that we can further investigate your experience and see how we can improve the quality of our products. Please send the defect brush head(s) only and keep your handle, charger and other accessories. You can use the same packaging the replacement comes in, but be sure to cover or remove the label that comes on the box to avoid any shipping confusion. You will receive an email confirmation of the order from Encompass, our parts distributor, with your tracking number. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and I got the same answer: Thank you for patiently waiting. 3:30:36 p.m.I already reviewed your chat. 3:32:18 p.m.The best offer I can do here is send you a 1 pack brush head as good will gesture. I have asked for an additional supervisor, and I got a brush off: Right now, I'm the highest point of escalation. Rest assured I'm the best person to resolve your issue. After pushing a bit more: Here's what I'm going to do, I will check with our specialist to review your case and send you a follow up email. I am not confident that I will get a happy resolution, and honestly I am not sure what to do if I have to change from Sonicare. But I guess I will be going back to the original brush heads. It is very frustrating because I didn t need to buy a new toothbrush if I was going to keep using the old heads.1Expensive but worth the moneyThe Adaptive Clean brushes do a better job cleaning my teeth than the Diamond Clean do. That is not imagination: the Philips company says the same thing. The only problem is they are slightly larger and I sometimes drip toothpaste from my mouth and onto my clothes. The simple solution is to wear an apron that covers the front of my clothes completely, a small price to pay for a better result.5Would love for someone to answer my reviewThis is the second time I have ordered these and the bristles start falling out after a week. I wanted to return them, but there is no option. What the heck is wrong with them??? Would love for someone to answer my review.1Definitely an upgradeLet me just start out by saying, "I don't take the best care of my teeth." I do however maintain the replacement of my toothbrush heads religiously thanks to Amazon's subscribe and save system. That said, I went to the dentist for the first time in 7 years, because...well, it had been 7 years. No tooth pain or problems just figured it was high time I got them cleaned and checked out by my dentist. They did a deep clean and X-rays and consultation, the full work up but there were no cavities or problems they could see or foresee anytime soon. Thank you Jesus! One tip I received from the dental hygienist was to consider upgrading my toothbrush heads from the classic basic ones to the newest "Adaptive" clean brush heads. She mentioned this because I told her that whenever I've been using my Sonicare toothbrush for awhile and switch to a manual toothbrush while traveling, sometimes that manual toothbrush tears up my gums. She said she had some problems with her gum sensitivity and after making the switch to these brush heads it made all the difference. I decided to give them a shot even though they were way more money than my typical off brand replacements I buy.I've used these adaptive replacement brush heads for the past three months. Right away I felt the difference. These leave your teeth way cleaner than the typical off brand replacements I've been buying. The way the bristles can flex around your gumline and teeth is definitely a leap forward in toothbrush technology and live up to their hype. I don't think I'll be going back. I love how clean my teeth feel using these, and its felt consistently clean every time for the past three months. Unlike the off brand basic ones that feel good for the first few weeks and then you forget about them. Now my biggest worry in trying these was I've seen several reviews about the bristles falling out of the brush and was hesitant because of this when making the purchase. However, neither mine or my wife's brush has experienced this yet and we're due to replace them soon. Perhaps there was a bad batch or someone selling knock offs? I'd understand the frustration of purchasing expensive brush heads only to have them fall apart on you. Not an issue yet, but I'll change my review if in the next batch we try we have that problem. Overall we love these and will be recommending them to friends and family who use Philips Sonicare products.5Rising Price Declining Quality... I have purchased the Adaptive Clean brush heads since 2016 when they were $24.95 (regular price) for two, which seemed pricey because replaced 4 times a year equalled $100 on brush heads for 2 people. Now, three years later I am disgusted with Phillips....1.) the cost is 60% higher - who has $160 to spend on brush heads for 2 people?2.) brush heads do not last as long - thus they must be bought more frequently...$200 a year for 2 people? Or $100 a year for one person? It feels like the printer ink scam - charge reasonable cost for printer, jack up the price of the ink.$40 bucks for two brush heads for a declining product is ludicrous.I welcome comments from those who can point me to products they feel equal to or superior to Sonicare. 2Weird, unexpected problem....Weird problem: i first bought these brushes with a new handle back in April, 2017. I'm the only user, so I use the brushes one-at-a-time for 3 months each, then replace both. About a week ago, I started using a new toothpaste which I like (tastes good, flip-open cap), and suddenly my still-healthy-looking toothbrush started shedding clusters of bristles like crazy. The new toothpaste contains MCT oil, generally derived from coconut oil which is one of the slipperiest substances around, and I'm wondering if it hasn't somehow penetrated the adhesive holding the clusters in place. I'll also post this as a review of the toothpaste, bought elsewhere, to see if others have encountered a similar problem.4Great brushhead, price OUCH !I have a Sonicare Flexcare Platinum that originally came with one of these brushheads. This is a nice quality made full sized head.I have had trouble finding them and have purchased many others to my disappointment. The 3-star rating is due the exorbitant price for these. In my opinion way out of line but I haven't been able to find elsewhere for cheaper.Recommendation ? I guess it's all preference and what you are willing to pay !3Great improvement on the details and larger brush! I only wish it were cheaper...These are amazing! These are full-sized brushes that are drastically larger than the DiamondCleans we had used for years. They have certainly updated the attention to detail with this premium replacement head as the head of the brush is made of rubber, allowing you to avoid that disgusting feeling of plastic vibrating against your tooth. My teeth feel super clean after brushing, probably even moreso just because of the extra coverage I get when brushing my teeth. Oh, and my husband appreciates how these are available in Black as well so that he can have a seamless appearance to his black Sonicare Diamondclean toothbrush, lol. The only downside is that these are extremely expensive at $37 for 3!4
