Better than DHC cleansing oilI turned 30 this year and one of my goals for 2018 was to take better care of my skin. In my quest for this, I stumbled upon double cleansing which is what it sounds like-wash your face twice, once with an oil and follow with a cleanser. There is certainly no shortage of cleansing oils on the market, but this one was highly reviewed in a skincare group I m in and was recommended by a dermatologist I follow on YouTube. This really is a wonderful cleansing oil. It s not super oily feeling and leaves my skin feeling super soft after I rinse. It has a very light citrus scent but is not at all irritating. I even use it lightly to remove my mascara and it doesn t sting my eyes.*UPDATE*I ve been using this for over two years. I ran out and switched to DHC cleansing oil (I had a travel size from a beauty box) because I ve heard such great things. Kose beats DHC hands down. DHC didn t remove my eye makeup nearly as well and it stung my eyes. I can rub Kose all over my eyes and I never have irritation. So save your money, and go with this stuff. It s gold.5A fine cleansing oil for a good priceI originally bought The Face Shop's Brightening Rice Water Cleansing Oil and it smelt great and worked fine but it was soooo small! So I settled on trying this product and it works just as good and is a great price. You get a lot of product and the scent is great. It's orangey and it is very effective at removing make up and sunblock. The only thing I wouldn't use this for us massage, The Face Shop one did cleanse a little better but it was way more watery and not as thick as this oil. I'd say they're in the same league, but if The Face Shop did make theirs in a bigger size for the same price I'd go for that one. For now though for cost and for efficiency this works just fine and I have nothing negative to say about it. I can use it on my eyes and it doesn't burn and I like the thickness of the product itself. Try it for yourself and see.5Hands down the best oil cleanser I've ever triedThis is slightly thicker than the speedy version but I quite like it as it feels more luxurious. Removes easily with water and it removes all of my waterproof makeup and sunscreen like a dream. Have repurchased this countless times and I will do so each time I run out.5Great for Removing Makeup and Dirt, Best First Cleanser!I have sensitive, oily combination skin that is prone to redness. I'm on my second bottle of this. I use this as a first cleanser step to remove my makeup and other dirt at night. This oil cleanser is amazing. It's light and has a light scent and you only need a tiny amount to cover your whole face. You put this on your dry face and rub it in and then add water to emulsify it and turn it into a creamy wash. It removes my makeup and sunscreen with ease and rarely leaves anything behind and it doesn't irritate or dry out my skin. I use it every night and it lasts me about 5 to 6 months. One bottle lasts forever. I've recommended this to all my friends and will continue to use. Holy grail product for me.510/10I really like this oil cleanser!I have oily, acne prone skin with some large pores and blackheads. When I was told about double cleansing as a way to not only remove makeup/sunscreen but as a way to help improve my skin s health , I was a bit skeptical. Putting oil on an already oily face seems to go against logic but I am so glad I did!I m not nearly as oily as I used to be, my pores appear smaller and my skin is smoother. On top of that, my blackheads are clearing up quite well!!I love that this oil emulsifies when you add water so that it doesn t leave that greasy feeling. It removes makeup very well and I ve had no breakouts or irritation.5For the price, it's great!I was really iffy about buying this. I read some other reviews by people who also had oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin and they said that this broke them out, stung their eyes, etc. When I buy products, I do look at the ingredients, but I'm not the type to obsesses over them. I was most worried about the mineral oil and Phenoxyethanol after looking at the COSDNA scale, but I'm pretty sure I've used products with these ingredients before. I also wanted a break from my balm cleanser since I hated having to open the jar and dig in with my fingers if I ever lost my spatula. I assumed something with a pump would be much more hygienic and convenient. For the $9-10 pricetag, I thought it wouldn't hurt to give this a try. And, good news! This works! It doesn't seem like its breaking me out and it doesn't sting my eyes at all. It breaks my makeup down pretty well, including super tough waterproof mascara! The oil its pretty thin and watery compared to the DHC oil cleanser. My biggest con is that it pretty hard to wash off the oil. I put the oil on my dry face full of makeup and work it in. But it doesn't seem to mix with water well. The cleanser leaves residue/film after I finish washing. I can see this being a problem for other people who only cleanse once, but I do double cleanse, so that residue goes away easily. Fragrance wise, there is a light citrusy, fresh scent and I think it smells great.Overall, not the best oil cleanser I've used, but for the price tag, I can't hate it.4Best oil cleanserI bought this product for my boyfriend. He had cystic acne and super dry skin. I had ask him if he moisturizes and he told me he doesn't. I use the pink version but I bought this one instead. His acne is almost completely gone and his does not have dry skin. His skin is super soft and I can't stop touching/poking his face. He uses it every 3 days because he did suffer a breakout and we were trying to figure with product it was. We thought it was because he moisturizing too much but that wasn't the case. It was a different product. To use this product, apply it straight to your dry skin. Massage it into skin. After that, wet your hand and massage your skin again. You'll notice that when the oil cleanser is mixed with water, it will turn white. I like to massage it for a minute. Afterwards, wash it off and continue the rest of your skincare. You'll notice how soft your skin is after the first use.5Effective, but broke me out I really wanted to love this -- and honestly, it's great at removing grime + makeup -- but unfortunately the mineral oil broke me out. I only skimmed the english translation of the ingredients on here so it's my own fault really. I broke out in a lot of closed comedones shortly after I started using this cleansing oil but I suspected that it was the fault of another new product instead. After a few weeks of cutting the other product and continuing the cleansing oil, my skin only got worse so I decided to look up the cleansing oil's ingredients on COSDNA and sure enough, it has mineral oil as one of the first ingredients. It also has a somewhat strong orangey fragrance so I wouldn't be surprised if that irritated my skin as well.I will probably still use this on my eyes as waterproof mascara remover. It is very gentle and effective on eye makeup!A lot of people are sensitive to mineral oil but if you aren't I'd say go for it! 3this is the holy grail of cleansing oilsThis stuff removes blackheads and anything else in your skin! If you sit there and rub it in for 5 minutes, you'll feel hard chunks like sand under your fingers. That's dirt coming out of your pores, and it would have caused acne if you didn't remove it. Not all cleansing oils are created equal, in my experience only this oil is capable of removing pore dirt like that.I recommend you follow this with hada labo gokujyun foaming face wash for perfectly clean skin that isn't dried out.5Affordable and gets the job doneFor 9 dollars this is a very satisfactory product. It is quite thick and viscous which I personally prefer over lighter cleansing oils, as those tend to run down my neck and generally get pretty messy. I haven't actually been wearing heavy makeup recently but it performs well enough on the cocktail of sunscreen/concealer/urban grime caked on my face at the end of the day that I'm sure it would melt off all other makeup as well. It has somewhat of a softening effect. I only wish that it rinsed off without any residue, but since I use a water-based cleaner afterwards (COSRx's Good Morning one, ftr) that's not a big problem for me. Would consider a repurchase.4If you like DHC, you will LOVE KoseI've used DHC skincare for years, despite the price. I especially love the Deep Cleansing Oil for removing make up. When I needed a new bottle, I had seen it on Amazon, but also decided to look at other options. After reading the reviews of this product, I decided to try it considering it was under $10. Well, I just used it and I am IMPRESSED. It's lighter and thinner than DHC, but that's not a bad thing at all...I actually liked it better. It is definitely an oil and smoothed over my face beautifully. I wet my hands with warm water and wet my face - the Kose oil emulifies exactly like DHC. Using a warm washcloth, I rinsed off the oil then washed my face with my usual Cetaphil bar soap. Pat dry...moisturize with Ancient Greek Remedy facial oil (which has also replaced DHC's much costlier Olive Virgin Oil). SO if you like DHC, I recommend giving Kose a try. I'm off now to look for a Kose face wash! I want to explore their whole line. PS: Forgot to mention: the Kose oil has a lovely, subtle scent...like orange blossom! I love that!5
