Very hard to find a tooth paste with no glycerin.I went with this product because it is one of the VERY FEW toothpastes that do not have fluoride AND do not have glycerin.* This product has a pleasant MILD wintergreen flavor, especially compared to the peppermint (peppermint has more of that "mint bite.) Taste and texture is pleasant, not like using baking soda or salt. Texture is firm and grainy, but not unpleasantly so. I do not taste clay or salt, which are in the ingredients, just soft wintergreen mint. I like the lemon and cinnamon flavors too (cinnamon is more like a clove flavor).*In many studies, including in the book, "Good Teeth, Birth to Death" by Dr. Judd, the author explains that when we brush our teeth with a paste that has glycerin in it, the glycerin coats our teeth. Glycerin is added to pastes to moisturize and coat the teeth to protect them from stains (as a barrier). However, this coating on your teeth also prevents your enamel to regrow, or re-mineralize. Therefore, your teeth can not repair themselves and you get sensitive teeth or cavities. Our teeth are living and they have the ability to fix themselves, if given the right conditions. Research how teeth can re-mineralize and heal.5Healed my tooth sensitivity, gums and husbands chronic bouts of thrush LOVE ITLOVE! I haven't had a cavity since I started using this. I found out about it because I used unrefined salt also by Redmonds "Real Salt" I loved the salt so I tried this. My teeth have been severely sensitive since I was a kid to hot or cold and nothing ever helped. Despite the fact that I floss and brush regularly and go to the dentist i have always had brittle teeth and weak enamel. I started getting calcification of my teeth according to my dentist who told me to use more fluoride. But my endocrinologist who siad I should avoid all fluoride because it is poison and I have low thyroid suggested i use fluoride free tooth paste. So I did research and found out my bad teeth, sensitivity, week and calcified enamel despite my rigorous care was actually being caused by the toxic fluoride. It is called dental fluorosis. since I have been using this product I have re-mineralized my enamel and after the first week my tooth sensitivity went away for the first time in 25 yrs!!! I can bite into ice cream and sip hot tea with NO pain :) It has been over a year now and I haven't had a cavity and I switched to a holistic dentist :) My teeth are also whiter and My husband who gets thrush from time to time from being on long term doses of antibiotics when he was in the Army in Iraq and Afghanistan a few years ago hasn't gotten thrush in over a year since we switched to this tooth past. It's probably because of the tea tree oil and clay being naturally antifungal YAY5The True Natural Toothpaste I love this toothpaste because I know every ingredient that is listed in it and know it's all natural. It is the only toothpaste I have found that does not have sodium lauryl sulfate. It's basically clay and essential oils. The wintergreen is my favorite because it has the most minty flavor out of all the others. So it feels more like a regular toothpaste. It takes some getting used to because you essentially are brushing your teeth with clay. But it isn't gritty and it rinses just fine. It doesn't foam at all because there isn't any baking soda but I don't like toothpastes that foam so much I start drooling toothpaste remnants all over myself. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because sometimes I do miss the overwhelming mint taste that refreshes my mouth. After using this toothpaste, I still feel like I need something to freshen my breath.Overall, it is an excellent natural toothpaste. It makes me feel good that I can keep my teeth clean without all the extra chemicals entering my body. 4At first I was like, but then I was like...Ok, at first sight, I thought it looked a little TOO natural (and I'm pretty crunchy.) I started brushing and immediately thought this was a fail because it felt a little like chalk. It tastes fine, actually, but it was making my teeth feel dirtier. Plus, it doesn't foam. Like, at all. So, I finished up and was going to grab for my Nature's Gate toothpaste, but I got distracted and had to leave the bathroom. Well, a couple of minutes later, I started noticing how clean my teeth were starting to feel. Now, I'm impressed. It's like "creeper" paste. The clean sort of creeps up on you. Love this.5Great Toothpaste Love the flavors all of them!!My Kids love this stuff, and well I have to admit it is great tasting Toothpaste I love all their flavors, I gave a 4 start only cause of the packing was really crappy and the box was completely opened and toothpaste was not even inside of its own box when I opened the packaged but the seal was still on the toothpaste itself .. I think it just got shoved around so much it came apart. the packaged wasn't a box like the other time's I got them, and all at once the other time this time nope, I ordered 3 of them and all came separate and different days and all of them were not packed good at all. and I was to get all of them as a Prime member in 2 days, I did get the Spearmint one in 2 days the others came to a lot later, I don't pay for Prime to get packages later than 2 days... that's why I pay for Prime in the first place to expedite the stuff!! must be backlogged.... but....still Great toothpaste even Tho!! their product is not The Issue here cause their product is Great!4Wow! Brighter smile. No more fissures! This stuff is amazing! I have fissures in my enamel which I find unsightly and embarrassing. My dentist told me it was possible to remineralize damage and I gave this a shot. WOW! I've only been using it for about a week and I hardly see the fissures at all! My teeth are whiter and I feel better about smiling. The paste itself is easy to adjust to. It is brown which was off-putting the first time I put it on my brush but it's fine. The taste is pleasant enough. I usually brush and then take a sip of water and swish with the toothpaste before spitting. Again, be prepared to spit pale tan-no big deal. Bottom line, I'm a thrilled user! 5Quite niceSo far I've been using the wintergreen flavor for the past two weeks and it tastes great! I have not yet tried the peppermint flavor but I expect that it will taste just as nicely. I found this through the EWG's page. I think that brushing your teeth with this color of toothpaste is a joyful experience. Another thing that is both a pro and con at the same time is its ability to liquify quickly once you start brushing your teeth. I also like that the containers are completely filled, not at all like giant chip bags that make you think they are full but only have five small chips in them. The reason that I gave it four stars and not five is that I feel as if it doesn't clean as nicely as other toothpastes that I've had in the past. I think that this is mostly due to the fact that this is my first non-foaming toothpaste. I think sometime next week I will get used to the non-foaming aspect.4Be prepared to clean out you P-trapClay builds up in your sink drain. The P-trap gets clogged after you use a tube or two of this paste.1Decent toothpaste. I like it. I've used other "natural" toothpastes in the past, like Tom's of Maine. In recent months my teeth have gotten more sensitive as evidenced when I went to the dentist for a checkup. She pushed Sensodyne on me; I knew I didn't want to go back to fluoride. I thought I had better bear down for a while on some kind of remineralization effort. So I got back on my vitamin/mineral supplements and then I bought this.I haven't been back to the dentist yet (due to go soon), but I can say this toothpaste gets my teeth very clean. The xylitol also helps with the flavor, especially if you're coming to this brand from a mainstream toothpaste. I had heard that the mint flavors were not very minty and that the wintergreen was better. It's still not "bitey" like mint toothpaste often is, but it's pleasant. I'll be trying the cinnamon next. The toothpaste does not foam up at all. It also looks grayish brown when you spit it out. I have had no trouble rinsing it out of my sink; if you don't clean your bathroom very often you may run into issues, but bathroom cleaner still gets rid of it. It doesn't goop up in my toothbrush like the glycerin toothpastes do, either--ever notice that? Wow, that's annoying. No more problems with that. Yay!Yes, there is a Prop 65 lead warning on the back label. I haven't noticed any ill effects from using this toothpaste. If you really want to try it but you're worried about lead, use a tube of it and then ask your doctor about lead-testing. If you show elevated levels, obviously stop using the toothpaste. If you're intending to get pregnant or there is a chance you could be pregnant, just switch to another natural toothpaste until you've had the baby and are done breastfeeding. Simple. I can't tell you what to do in regards to whether to give this to children. I would not recommend giving it to a child who hasn't yet learned not to swallow toothpaste. Everyone else should in theory be OK, because this stuff stays in your mouth and then you spit and rinse it out, but if you're worried, just use a different toothpaste. I'm not worried. I'm about to buy my next tube. 5Redmond has Revolutionized ToothpasteThis was my first experience with clay toothpaste. I had no idea that such a product existed. I read many reviews, did my research as I sought to find a non-fluoride, chemical free toothpaste. But when I landed on clay, as a toothpaste, it took quite a bit to convince myself that I wanted to brush my teeth with minty mud.I have got to say, this is the most interesting toothpaste product I have ever come across. The ingredients are few, organic and pronounceable! The price was right! My main attraction for this toothpaste, was the lack of fluoride and other chemicals. As people continue to "awaken", they become more aware of the toxic chemicals in their everyday items. In doing my homework years ago, I found out how hazardous fluoride really is. (not to mention all the other chemicals in toothpaste, like anti-freeze (ethylene glycol (EGW) or propylene glycol (PGW). It are these toothpaste chemicals which puts a warning on your toothpaste to NOT swallow it. So, why would I want to put that into my mouth, if it is toxic?I already knew, from research, that Redmond's Eathpaste had no foaming agents. Several reviewers commented that they felt the need to keep putting Earthpaste on their toothbrush because it seemed to 'melt' away. They were not getting the 'foaming' action they were use to. Knowing that ahead of time, I knew what to expect. Persoanally, I did not feel I needed to keep adding earthpaste to my brush. I actually valued the fact that the paste did not foam in my mouth. And the amount I first put on the brush is plenty for a cleansing. Just because it 'melted' did not mean it was gone. The taste of this paste is beyond description. Wintergreen was the flavor and Wintergreen is what I got. Very refreshing and cleansing, as if it came from the wintergreen mint plant.Redmond Earthpaste is for the whole family. Should your little ones swallow it, there is no need to worry! This earthpaste is chemical free.Redmond Earthpaste produced a cleansing of my whole mouth, not just my teeth. My teeth felt cleaner and fresher than from any other toothpaste over my 50+ years of brushing. What amazed me most, was how this earthpaste removed the white coating from my tongue, which other toothpastes seem to create. The brushing with clay was a wonderful experience and did not feel gritty at all to me. I must admit that the color of the paste is not your normal white, red, striped or whatever. Redmond earthpaste is the color of earth. It is natural! No bleaching of color. No dies. Just earth!!In conclusion:Redmond Earthpaste is now the only toothpaste I will use. I might try other 'clay' paste in the future, but for now, I love what the Redmond family has done for humanity. The taste is great. The cleansing action is pleasant, mystical and amazing. The product lasted a long time. I highly recommend Redmond Eathpaste. It is great for the whole family. (I have no affiliate ties with Redmond)Let me know, if my honest/heartfelt review was of great benefit to you.Thank you!5Beware, NOT dentist recommended and NOT effectiveI have been using this toothpaste exclusively for about 3 years....with disastrous results! I like the idea of natural toothpaste, but apparently fluoride isn't a gimmick - gee who besides EVERY dentist knew? I just left the dentist office with multiple cavities, a recommended root canal, and a crown. WTF!? I'm livid and going broke. ALL EARTHPASTE GOING IN TRASH IMMEDIATELY1AWESOME TOOTHPASTE I've been using this toothpaste twice a day now for a couple months and I am amazed at the difference in my teeth in general. First of all, this stuff tastes great. I like that it doesn't contain a foaming agent or any chemicals. But it also leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean for hours longer than any other toothpaste I've ever used before. I have extremely sensitive gums and this doesn't irritate me at all. I can't wait to order another flavor and see which one I like best!! 5Best toothpaste ever I had been researching remineralizing toothpastes for a while. My son was born with an enamel deficiency so I was looking for toothpaste that would clean his teeth and also help him. I had made a few of my own and I could never get it to taste very good, which didn't bother me much, but made my toddler not want to brush his teeth. So I did some research and came across Earthpaste and decided to give it a try. I will never purchase a different toothpaste again. It tastes amazing, kid approved, and aids in remineralization. It pulls toxins from your gums and leaves your mouth with a clean feel. We absolutely love Earthpaste! 5LOVE LOVE LOVE this toothpaste! My husband and are were searching for a natural tooth paste product for our family and we came across this product at our local Whole Foods. We bought one tube and fell in love instantly! After just a few days of use, all of our mouths felt better, and my 11 year old daughter's teeth looked the best they ever have. She has fluorodosis and this is the first toothpaste that I have seen that has made her teeth appear brighter and have a more even appearance. She even loves the taste! My husband and I both feel like our mouths are cleaner and we don't have dry mouth when we wake up anymore. I have a permanent retainer behind my bottom teeth and over time I tend to get plaque build up even with flossing and brushing multiple times a day. After using this toothpaste, I feel like the plaque is even developing much much slower and has been easier to manage between dentist visits. So, after our first tube was gone we jumped on Amazon and bought the three pack as it was a better price per tube and we wanted to try the different flavors. So far we are happy with every flavor we have tried and its been quite a few months now since we started using this toothpaste and we have no plans to stop anytime soon! I highly recommend this toothpaste to anyone who is looking for an affordable, healthy, natural alternative toothpaste.5and I love it. Traditional toothpaste the last year has left ... I have only had this a few days, and I love it. Traditional toothpaste the last year has left an overly sweet taste in my mouth, that bothers me even in the morning. I would brush my teeth for 3 -4 minutes and still find where my teeth weren't clean. The first time I used this, I thought I would see where I was after 2 minutes. My teeth were completely clean. I couldn't find a spot that I needed to go over again. The clean feeling lasts most of the day, until it's time to brush again. No, this doesn't foam up, and it does get watery in the mouth. That doesn't bother me though. The wintergreen is nice and gentle, not over powering, but enough that my breath is clean.Yes, my tube has a lead warning on it. I did some looking before I bought the tube, and discovered it's a naturally occurring element in the clay. The company opted for the warning even though they could have been exempt from it to be safe. I am using less of this than I was of regular toothpaste. I have another dentist cleaning in months, so we will see how that goes, as far as plague buildup. I'm keeping this! 5Great toothpasteI have been using Earthpaste (in all of its pleasant flavours) for about four years now, and it has not failed me yet. My teeth have never been better (haven't had a single cavity in all of the time that I've been using it), and I feel at ease knowing that the ingredients are composed of very simple, almost down to earth, materials. The nozzle of the tube seems to have also been updated to be longer, and in turn, easier to apply, which is a huge plus. The taste of the Wintergreen is about the same as I've always remembered it, not too overpowering but strong enough to leave your mouth feeling minty fresh.Overall, an A+ for this toothpaste; I recommend it to everyone that asks, and so far, everyone that I have recommended it to loves it. This is a fantastic toothpaste.5Natural Alternative I had to give up regular commercial toothpastes about 10 years ago when I became sensitive to fluoride and my gums were irritated. I've been through a number of other fluoride free toothpastes, tooth soaps and herbal mixtures since then. Earthpaste is by far my favorite for cleaning power, taste and texture. My teeth always feel clean and smooth after brushing and it doesn't leave any grit behind after rinsing. The flavor isn't overpowering and I can eat or drink a few minutes after brushing without any unpleasant flavor combinations leftover from the toothpaste. I have been using Earthpaste now for over a year and I don't have any desire to look for new brands or other types of toothpaste anymore. 5
